Wie goed doet goed ontmoet, a Dutch saying with the direct translation ‘who does good meets good’.

Wie goed doet goed ontmoet. The life motto of PANCAKES Amsterdam. Over the years PANCAKES Amsterdam has become a partner of various charities, initiatives, and other things that make the city of Amsterdam more beautiful.

One of the charities that we sponsor every year is UNICEF. We have been proud UNICEF Business Buddies since 2019, but what does this mean? We donate the proceeds of the toilet income from our location PANCAKES Amsterdam Westermarkt to Unicef. Due to the few toilet facilities around the Westermarkt, our toilets were used by many passengers. This caused long lines and misunderstandings among our guests.

Everyone pays for a clean toilet and we donate the profit of that money to projects for clean water, toilets, and hygiene for children. In short, you have a clean toilet, they have a clean toilet.

In addition to Unicef, we are also a proud partner of Royal Theater Carré and Make a wish Foundation. Royal Theater Carré is an iconic theatre, a beautiful institution for art and culture. A true iconic place in Amsterdam and a place just for everyone. Then where to start with the Make a Wish Foundation? A foundation that makes dreams come true and gives strength to sick children and their families. I think it is clear to everyone why Make A Wish is indispensable and we are proud to say that we can put a smile on several children’s faces, at least for one day.

Amsterdam is so close to our hearts. We are not PANCAKES Amsterdam for nothing. Amsterdam is part of our name for a reason. The most beautiful city in the Netherlands and what could be better than giving a warm heart to this incredibly beautiful city. During the year there are several great initiatives that we sponsor, such as Red Light Jazz festival, Grachten Festival, and the Zuidas Run.

In addition to these wonderful initiatives, we also create our own way of doing good. Every year around the holidays, we organize an annual Christmas dinner for lonely elderly people. Every year it is an evening to remember. If you do want to be part of this? Feel free to send us an email at info@pancakesamsterdam.com.
