PANCAKES Amsterdam Centraal was founded in 2015.
After a search of more than 5 years, we finally found a spot we liked.
Across Central Station, with a terrace bigger than the nine streets location and in the heart of the old city centre, red light district. This location was a bit of a disaster when we came in, long time this building had no love and maintenance so we had to do some renovation work.
The pancakes are as deliciously familiar as ever, made in a traditional style with a special mix of whole-wheat, buckwheat and white wheat flour from the windmill. There’s a great selection of savoury, sweet and unusual combinations to choose from, as well as American pancakes.
The restaurant’s modern interior has been designed by Dutch designer Chris Slutter and features a touch of old-fashioned Amsterdam charm in the form of delft blue accents. These Delft Blue accents are made by street artist Hugo Kaagman, you can also find his work at Schiphol airport and musea.
Pancakes are served from 8:00 until 20:00.
Are you looking for a bite to eat before you explore the city? This location is right on the edge of the Red Light District and only a five-minute walk from Dam Square.
