WHERE
You will find this family member at the back of Amsterdam Central Station, next to the ferry to Amsterdam Noord. Amsterdam is growing in many different ways; more tourists, more restaurants, but the city is also expanding its neighborhoods. Noord used to be less popular, with both tourists and city inhabitants. However, now it’s an upcoming and fast-growing part of the city! For example, you will find the A’DAM Tower in Amsterdam Noord, as well as the EYE Museum and NDSM-Werf. Oh, and don’t forget about the famous flea market at the IJ-Hallen.
PANCAKES Amsterdam Aan ‘t IJ is just next to the ferry that will take you to Amsterdam Noord. It’s located at the waterfront, with a breathtaking view over ‘t IJ! The exact address is Steiger 10, which is very easy to find. Probably because we are also the only restaurant at the waterfront at the back of Central Station :).
LOCATION
This location itself is already super cute. Back in the day, it used to be a port building. Our designers chose to rebuild the port building and take the restaurant back to its roots. If you take a closer look, you will see that this location looks like a boat from the inside. So basically, our designers restored the restaurant back into a boat!
PANCAKES Amsterdam Aan ‘t IJ doesn’t have that many tables inside. In total, we can seat up to 35 guests. We Dutchies like to call it “gezellig”, which most people know as “cosy”. The restaurant has an open kitchen and bar. With different floor levels and table heights, it looks very spacious. In the back, you will find a glass dome, with a view that you won’t be able to take your eyes off. It’s something you must see for yourself… Our photographer tried to catch the view in our pictures. PANCAKES Amsterdam Aan ‘t IJ basically has the best terrace in Amsterdam!
A few things to note are that we serve alcohol at this location to anyone above the age of 18 years old. We also love little pancake lovers, so we have high chairs and colorful plastic cutlery! PANCAKES Amsterdam has healthy pancakes, made with lots of love and a pancake batter designed by PANCAKES Amsterdam. The Dutch pancakes are made from buckwheat flour and it is possible to order a Dutch pancake gluten-free, lactose-free, or even vegan style. No problem, just let the staff know you have this special request! We also have fluffy pancakes, American style! It’s no secret anymore, we simply serve the best pancakes in Amsterdam.
